Nirvana est un groupe de musique rock américain considéré comme le révélateur de la mouvance grunge Fondé en 1987, le groupe se sépara en 1994 suite à la mort de son principal compositeur, chanteur et guitariste Kurt Cobain. Naissance du groupe Les origines du groupe Nirvana se situent à Aberdeen, Washington vers 1985 sous le premier nom de Fecal Matter. Ses premiers membres sont Kurt Cobain (guitare et voix), Dale Crover (également batteur des Melvins, ici à la basse) et Greg Hokanson à la batterie.
