Bright Eyes est un groupe de la scène indie rock. L'homme derrière ce groupe est Conor Oberst, un jeune auteur-compositeur de talent. Il vient d'Omaha (Nebraska) et a commencé la musique très jeune. À 14 ans, il enregistre déjà ses propres chansons. Puis, il crée son propre groupe Commander Venus. Le groupe se sépare mais Conor décide de créer avec des membres du groupe son propre label : Saddle Creek. Conor, crée alors un autre groupe, Bright Eyes. Conor Oberst en est l'auteur compositeur.
