Behemoth est un groupe de Black/death metal originaire de Pologne. Sa musique est fortement influencée par le Black metal dans son aspect mélodique et sombre, mais reste ancrée, depuis l'album Pandemonic Incantations, dans la tradition lourde et intense du Death metal. Cependant, avec Demigod, on découvre un aspect beaucoup plus direct et complexe de la musique de Behemoth, qui délaisse un peu l'aspect sombre du Black metal au profit d'influences plus Death metal comme Morbid Angel et Nile.
